Jacob has really developed a little personality. He can be such a silly boy and we love it. Some examples of Jacob's silly personality:
He recently bumped into Kate's swing and said "excuse me" followed by "that's ok Jacob".
Jacob and Dada were lying on the bed watching "Sid the Science Kid" when Jacob climbed onto Dada's back and said "donkey." Good thing Dada was not offended!
We were at a store and our little Katie was in the stroller. Jacob decided he was ready to eat grapes so he pitched out Kate's hat, burp cloth, and blanket, and he grabbed her by the shirt and started to pull up. Luckily Kate was too heavy for him to discard from the stroller. Babcia and Mama laughed pretty hard at this! It was quite the site. He was basically saying get out of my stroller.
Jacob pulled out his name puzzle and arranged the letters on the floor. He saw the red J, orange A, yellow C, green O, and blue B. He added a purple hippo ring at the end and said "it's a rainbow".
We love to hear "innnne comes Dada/Mama" which translates to here comes Dada/Mama. Sometimes we will even hear "I need Babcia" when Jacob is in serious distress at home.
We drove past a Dollar General that just opened on one of the back streets of town and Jacob said it was the "yellow store". He was right about that. It is very bright yellow.
Jacob has also become more interested in his books now that we are reading to Katie. He will come over to listen and will even bring us books to read. His recent likes include "Corduroy Goes to the Doctor" and "I Love you Through and Through".
Thomas the Tank is the current go to book and toy, but really any choo-choo playing has to be done pants-free!
Mother's Day was beautiful this year and Jacob got some extra time outside. When Babcia and Dziadzia dropped by, Jacob said "who's there open it".
Of course getting a picture with Jacob is quite a challenge so this is the best we could do! Kate was very cooperative and she will be rewarded with a pony.
