Mother's Day was beautiful so we ventured to Fall Creek Falls. Cousin Basia was in town from London and she joined us. Getting to the park was an adventure since we took the back roads which could whip up a case of carsickness fast! Once there, Babcia, Uncle Paul and Basia were very brave and tried their hand at some suspended wooden bridges.........while we worked on making sure Jacob didn't fall into the water.
We kept a solid grip on a certain little boy since he has no fear and really wanted to step into the water.
Obviously Jacob had a great time.....
Jacob is happiest when he was on the go outside. We have to jog to keep up with our little runner.
We all had a great time and will definitely do this again. Happy Mother's Day!

Happy 2nd Birthday!
Two years have gone by since we welcomed Jacob into the Cole family. Wow, we have a 2 year old!
Friday, April 26th was the big day for the Cole men. Grammy, Gdaddy and Ashley came into town and we all had dinner together. Jacob and Ashley enjoyed a little time in the pool. Well, Ashley enjoyed some time in the pool and Jacob enjoyed walking laps around the pool's perimeter. It was a win for everyone.
Saturday morning Dada got up extra early and drove downtown to run a half marathon in a downpour. He ran for 2 hours and 9 minutes in the rain! He is fast like the Kenyans. Jacob and I were sad to have missed it, but we didn't dare leave the house with all the rain in the forecast. We were very proud of Dada and his half marathon time. Once Dada got home with his fancy medal, we got the family together to celebrate the big birthday. What a day!
Jacob would have rather been outside, but he tolerated us all in the house for his birthday. Here are the birthday boys as we sang a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday! Babcia did a beautiful job with the cake, but we decided the cake would hold only 2 candles.......otherwise we might have a fire hazard. The Cole men sure look good for 2 years old!
Jacob was not thrilled to be turning 2, but thankfully our wonderful family and Father Jacob loved him just the same.
Jacob put aside the iPad long enough to open gifts.
Somehow, everyone got the perfect gifts for Jacob. He has a great new summer wardrobe, some new toys and a suitcase with his name on it!
The breakaway hit of the day was Jacob's new telephone. The next day we caught him pushing the buttons and laughing at all the noises.
Following the birthday weekend, our two year old got a little haircut......Dada feels much better now that our baby has big boy hair. Some of us are sad to see the baby curls go.
