December was a amazing month full of great art, but was also cut short since Jacob missed the week before Christmas........Jacob brings home more than just the expert caliber art projects......and let's just say that everyone should buy stock in tissue companies.
We also had January and February art since they got all jumbled together with the move. I am sure Jacob will need counseling one day since his mom didn't carefully mark which months his preschool art came from. We know for sure Jacob learned some letters and numbers.
February came and Jacob was going to school like an old pro. His teachers even commented that Jacob had made a significant turn around since the beginning of the year. The second parent teacher conferences of the year came around and Jacob's teachers said he is a very good boy. Ms. Jacki and Ms. Jennifer said that he loves arts and crafts especially involving glue and scissors.....by the way that is a puppy with backwards ears and not a potato like I thought.
He has gotten more comfortable with play-doh. He is very concerned about other children especially when someone is crying. Jacob also loves to walk in the back of the line and hold the teacher's hand. He is a sweet boy. A sweet boy that loves his sippee cup and refuses to drink from a regular cup.....but a sweet boy.
This sweet boy makes an awesome looking bee, octopus, and abstract snowman.
Jacob can also write his name. We are astonished by his reading skills and how he figures out words.
And Jacob calls everyone "mister". So mister mama and mister dada and mister babcia.
Later that evening we took Jacob to school for his Winterfest Program. We weren't sure if he would want to stay with the other children, but we were really hopeful since his teachers said he is a genius with the finger/hand motions.
Well, Jacob was not having it. You would have thought we were threatening to cut his arm off. We went to the gym to watch the kids and he saw his class walk in with their hats and mittens and he pointed to his hands and muttered the word "mittens?" There was a moment when he was walking toward his classmates and I really thought he would go sit with them, but no. It did not happen. Here is Jacob's class without Jacob doing a really cute song about mittens with some hand motions thrown in.
Katie loved the whole thing and of course she was really cute!
