Santa Visit

Monday morning, Jacob went to see Dr. Perkins for his 18 month check-up.  We are still a little off schedule so it is more like a 19 month check-up.  Our boy is very healthy and came in at 34 inches in length and a healthy 32 lbs.  These are estimates since the doctor's office does not have a calming effect on Jacob.

Our doctor's office visit was exhausting so we took a little nap before Jacob went to see Santa!
And we definitely saw Santa......from far away was best.  We were most comfortable when there was a barrier of Christmas decorations between us and Santa.
Jacob was ready to leave as soon as we got there.
We kept our distance, but we were the only people there so Santa stepped out to talk with us.  Jacob laid down and closed his eyes tight.  I am sure he was thinking...."if I can't see him, then he might go away."  I cannot blame him.

Santa got distracted so Jacob got into the big man's chair.
And then Santa came back!  Jacob whimpered "mama mama."
So we left, but on the way out Jacob spotted exactly what he wants for Christmas!  Hmmmm, I wonder if Santa can deliver?

Christmas Decorating and Parade

The day after Thanksgiving, Jacob fell asleep in the living room chair and when he awoke there was a tree with lights!  Jacob was shocked!!!  There were lots of ooooohs and ahhhhs.
We decorated with the shatterproof ornaments this year.  Can you guess why?

Weeks later, Jacob is still loving the tree.  He wakes up in the morning (or the middle of the night) and yells "treeeeeee".  There is certainly more excitement about the daily tree lighting.

This past weekend, the weather was great so we packed up and headed to the Murfreesboro Christmas parade.  While we waited, Jacob passed out some smooches.
Jacob loved the parade.....especially the loud wooooooo of the fire trucks.

A huge truck drove by and made a hisssssss sound.  Of course, Jacob loved that.
Yes, the parade was a fun!

We even admired the city Christmas tree.
