Almost 16........

Almost 16 months old!  But Jacob still loves to "drive."

Our little tornado loves to be in motion and doesn't like to stay still for anything....especially a diaper change.

Jacob has acquired all kinds of new skills.  When we read "Spot Goes To The Library", Jacob turns the pages and says "Shhhhhh" on the page where Mrs. Rabbit is reading a story.  He gets very excited when he spots the turtle hiding under the rug in "Where's Spot."  Jacob also loves to read "Good-Night Moon" and has to touch the mouse.  Most recently Jacob loves lift the flap books.

Being outside is very important in the Cole household and Jacob knows that he has to sit on the floor to put his shoes on before heading out.

We have a very happy boy.

Jacob sure loves his Babcia and Babcia has been very busy teaching Jacob all sorts of things.  Jacob knows that a cow says moooo, a cat says meow and that a violin makes the eeeeee eeeeeee sound.  Most importantly, he knows what sound dziadzio makes when he sleeps!  Jacob is great friends with Father Jacob at church and will readily show you what Father Jacob does when he prays (raise his arm up in the air, of course).  Let's not forget that Jacob knows to scrunch up his nose and smell the flowers!

Inside, Jacob loves to go to the refrigerator to open the drawers and pull out the produce.  Who needs toys when you have a fly swatter and washing machine (with eye level buttons).  Outside, Jacob LOVES to open the garage door (push the opener button), pull around the broom, and play with the hose!

Family 5K Weekend

Jacob got up early Saturday morning to run in the Smyrna 5K.

Jacob smoked the competition and was ready for a donut with Uncle Paul when the race was over.

Uncle Paul was taunting Jacob with delicious donut.  It is a good thing Jacob was buckled in otherwise Uncle Paul might not have had a donut for too long.

Olympics With Grammy and Gdaddy

Jacob wanted to see Grammy and Gdaddy so we drive down to Dyersburg for the weekend.

The Summer Olympics kicked off on Friday and Jacob wanted to get some pointers on watching the games from Grammy.  With her love of all sports, she was definitely up for the job.  Jacob even brought his golf club to get some practice shots in.  Our boy is advanced since they won't be adding golf until the next Summer games.  

Jacob appointed Dada as his caddy. 

Gdaddy was in charge of supplying the golf balls, but he also tried to entice Jacob with an occasional toy.  Jacob was more focused on playing with his Grammy and improving his golf game. 

And did he ever play......Sunday, Jacob got some quality time with Grammy by carrying bath fish to her.......over and over.

 One by one, Jacob carried those fish to Grammy until she had her hands and lap full of fish.

Finally on Sunday, Jacob broke away from Olympic coverage (and cheering for Polska) to work on his golf game.  Here he is with his cheering section (Jaden, Lane, and Ashley).

We had a great weekend.  All that golf and attention from Grammy and Gdaddy wore Jacob out.

G-daddy even gave Jacob a purple fish before we headed out and Jacob kept it close the entire trip home.
