Rolling

Jacob rolled over!!  We saw it for the first time on Saturday and Paul captured it on film.  Apparently JRC has been showing Babcia his awesome trick for a little while already.

Also, there has been some definite laughter coming from our sweet boy (in addition to his beautiful cooing).  Periodically, he gives us a chuckle to say he approves of our crazy antics to get him to smile.

Smiles

At 3 months Jacob is all smiles and has settled into a fun personality.  Of course, we know not to get too used to anything because it all changes so quickly.
Jacob's smiles win us over every time.  I seem to recall someone saying Jacob could have anything he asks for if he could only talk.  It also looks like teeth are on their way since drool is flowing like the mighty Mississippi.  Oh and did I mention that we have quite the chub?  Just look at that "healthy" belly!

Even cameras aren't safe with this guy around!
We cannot get enough of the gurgles and cooing.  Jacob is a flurry of swinging arms and kicking legs.  It is difficult to capture him on camera.  Punches were thrown, but thankfully no one was hurt.
I believe he is showing off his baby martial art moves here.  Notice the scratch on his face.....I guess there was an earlier brawl in his crib.  A hand probably got unruly and Jacob had to take it down!

Babcia's Birthday

Babcia turned 60 on July 31st!  On Saturday she arrived at Paul's house thinking she was going to a family dinner in honor of her birthday and was treated to a true surprise party with people jumping out and shouting "SURPRISE!"  And surprised she was.  She had no idea.

Of course the party started before she got there, but everyone parked across the street in the neighbor's driveway so she would have no idea anything was brewing.

It was amazing how many people could make it on such short notice, but that just goes to show how loved mom is.

Jacob partied with babcia and spent time in many arms.  He maintained a sense of humor for most of the evening.

There was a rousing round of Happy Birthday and Sto Lat and wishes were made.

Jacob partied and conked out.  Something tells me he hit the milk a little too hard.

Of course we had far too much food again!  Anyone interested in leftovers?

It was a wonderful party and we love our babcia!
