Happy 4th Birthday!!!!

Happy 4th birthday, Jacob!!!!!  And of course Dada and Gdaddy!!  Katie was included in this birthday celebration.  So happy first birthday again, sweet girl!

Here we have our big, silly 4 year old on his big day!!!  When we moved, Jacob gave up the crib and now sleeps in a big boy bead......
Fun fact about 4 year old Jacob is that he really really dislikes the happy birthday song.  Somewhere along the way he was traumatized by the whole thing.

Well this year for his birthday, Jacob went with Dada to admire some bikes and bring one home!!!!  Here he is in action.....Dada is a really good pusher.
Mama and Katie are really good at watching and moral support....
We were so excited to have everyone over to whisper Happy Birthday!!!
Jacob LOVES his new Legos.  And Katie loves baby dolls and anything she can hug.   We are so excited to see what our 1 year old and 4 year old will do.

Easter

Well Easter weekend was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Jacob brought home some Easter appropriate art from school earlier in the week.
And Katie wore her bunny tail outfit.
Easter Saturday we went for the traditional Easter egg hunt and Easter basket blessing at Babcia's church.  Oh what fun Jacob had collecting eggs and candies!  And since Jacob is primarily a connoisseur of M&Ms, he quickly gave the candies he found to the other children.

Katie stayed indoors with the adults and showed off her cute bunny tail.
On Easter Sunday while at church, Jacob looked at Katie's sweater and saw the little eyelet holes (that are a design in the sweater).  He got close and inspected and then leaned in to whisper "don't worry mama, Babcia will fix it".  Jacob believes that anything requiring a needle and thread is something that Babcia can fix......this, of course, is true.  Anything requiring mechanical fixing is the domain of Dziadzia.....again this is true.  We have heard this from Jacob before so he must have experienced this.

While we waited for Babcia and Dziadzia to come home from church we stayed busy hunting for eggs around our house.  Jacob found one egg and shook it.  There was a noise so he started to open it.....he looked up at us and said "it's hatching".  Sure enough, it hatched and there were 2 M&Ms that were immediately devoured by our Jacob.

After our traditional Easter meal at Babcia and Dziadzia's house.....of course the Easter bunny left some eggs.  Jacob is a very handsome egg hunter.  He took a break from the toddler lunch meeting circuit to show us how it's done.
Alex won out on this deal since all the paper money and coins went to Alex and Jacob ate all the M&Ms before anyone could even see them.
Oh what a wonderful Easter we had.
Happy Easter, everyone!!
