Jacob at Bible School and Other June Events

Jacob went to vacation bible school at Babcia's church this year.  He ended up in the Preschool class since he felt more comfortable with that teacher.  The theme was labs and Jacob came home with a lab coat and goggles.  He also came home with a CD of the vacation bible school songs and we have loved it over and over and over.  At this point, we can all sing every song on the CD. 

On the last day, all the kids did a show with their classes.  They got up on stage and did hand motions.  We went to watch, but weren't sure Jacob would be up to performing.  Well, he sure surprised us.  He was up there on stage and did all his hand motions.  Unfortunately, his mom doesn't know how to use zoom or take a steady picture with the iPhone.....technology is so complicated. 

But look, Katie was there and she cheered on her big brother.

And judging by the pictures, Jacob and Katie also had loads of fun with sunglasses and rode the Clifford toy at Wal-Mart.  So much fun in June.

Katie is Growing and Moving and All Girl

Katie is very much a little girl.  She loves stuffed animals of all kinds.  As soon as she spots one in the store, she goes crazy and needs to hold it.  It is a visceral reaction.  Katie also loves to pull things out of bags and will spend many minutes putting puzzle pieces into a bucket and pulling them back out. 

We postponed Katie's 1 year appointment a few times and finally went on May 22nd which is well after her 14th month.  Katie had a growth spurt and is now at 11% for height, but her weight didn't keep pace and dropped to 11%.  She is a dimpled lean walking and kissing machine.  And she is into everything.....

On a side note, while we waited at the doctor's office, the nurse came to the door and called Frank.  Jacob looked up and said "Frank is sick. He needs a shot."  Well said. 

We (meaning Dziadzia) also planted a little tree in the front yard.  Right now the tree is smaller than Katie, but that probably won't last.

Katie has a sixth sense about Legos.  As soon as one hits the floor she is off to see if she can find it.  Jacob knows Katie is too little for the small Legos, but every once in a while our girl gets lucky and comes across a forgotten Lego man.  Victory for Katie until Dada takes it away.

And on Memorial Day weekend we went to see the field of flags.
