We have a baby boy! Matthew John Cole arrived as scheduled at 38 weeks on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:44AM. He has quite a memorable birth date...1/15/16. All the attending doctors and nurses took guesses on whether our new addition would be a boy or a girl. Of course we were really only prepared with a girl name so we were sure our little blessing would be a boy. And Dr. Rupe did a wonderful job announcing "It's a boy"....which she pointed out is her favorite part.
Matthew weighed in at 7 lbs 12.5 oz. and measured a solid 21.5 inches in length. Such a handsome little guy.
Luckily for us, one of our delivery room nurses took charge of the picture taking since she has strong memories of her husband not taking enough pictures of their child's birth.
We were so excited to meet Baby Cole......who appeared strangely relaxed and gave us hope that we might have that one elusive relaxed child.
Over the next couple days, baby Matthew was able to meet his grandparents and siblings. He is a very loved boy.
And a few days later we picked up Jacob and Katie from Babcia and Dziadzia's house and they seemed happy that baby Matty was going to live at our house!!
We love our little Cole babies.
