Easter Weekend

Easter Saturday Jacob and Babcia had to meet Father Jacob for a little Easter basket blessing and a little Easter egg hunting so Uncle Paul and Mama tagged along.

The Easter egg hunting was lost upon Jacob.  He mostly just looked at the crazy kids picking up eggs  in the grass.  He couldn't even be bothered to hold the Easter basket that Grammy got for him.  Maybe next year....

Maybe it was the pink Easter Bunny that hindered Jacob's egg hunting performance.  I know I wouldn't be able to concentrate with that thing walking around.    

Since Easter egg hunting wasn't Jacob's favorite, we headed in for the Easter basket blessing that Jacob's best friend, Father Jacob, was leading.  Father Jacob has quite the influence at our house.  Jacob has been blessing us and chanting for most of his life now.

They are good buddies.

Once outside, Jacob checked out what Babcia put into his basket.  She must have gotten confused and forgot to include the loud electronic toys our Jacob favors.  

Once we got back to Babcia's house, Jacob used intense concentration to set up some bowling pins on the coffee table. 

The next day was Easter Sunday!  Easter Sunday may not have been sunny and warm this year, but at least it was not snowing.  After a very early mass, we headed to Babcia's house for some delicious food and to see if the Easter Bunny had come by!  Thankfully the cold weather did not keep him away and he even left Jacob a little Easter train.  The train is almost as fast as Jacob.
