On Sunday Jacob met Santa! Annemarie invited us to accompany her to the base to watch Santa come in on a C130. I guess the reindeer were resting at the North Pole!
We had a great time exploring the hanger and all the Christmas decor.
We warmed up to a version of Santa before the big guy arrived.
Let's not forget the awesome balloon man that made us a great airplane balloon.
And then it was time for the BIG moment. They opened up the hanger and we watched Santa wave from the airplane. He quickly came in and got to work on the long line of kids waiting to talk to him.
We got really close to the big guy!
Jacob hadn't napped very much so we were taking a gamble, but our little guy really took to the jolly man in red.
We waited in a long line and then it was our turn! Jacob was a little surprised that we left him in the arms of this bearded man, but no tears.

After some more pictures and another round at the snack table. we were ready to go home.
